Swimming To Plymouth (2017)

As part of an ongoing project exploring the historic swimming culture of Plymouth, this audio installation allows the viewer to have a personal insight into Kathy's time spent on the hoe, as she describes her emotional connection to the place.

The work invites you to take a deck chair from the pile stacked at the location, and place it at whatever point across the hoe they choose. You are then able to sit on the chair, place the headphones on and listen to the audio whilst absorbing the landscape which Kathy talks so passionately about.
